Keep Walton County Beautiful is an official affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.
To further our commitment to protecting and preserving Walton County, the Walton County Tourism Department established Keep Walton County Beautiful in 2024 as an official affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. The preservation of our destination’s natural landscapes will allow residents and visitors to enjoy the area for generations to come. KAB envisions a country in which every community is a clean, green and beautiful place to live. If you live in or have visited Walton County, Florida, you know that the county’s natural environment is its greatest strength, and that must be maintained.

🐢 Help protect nesting sea turtles along ’s beaches:
🌙 Turn off beach-facing lights at night and use red-filtered flashlights when needed.
🪹 Give sea turtles, eggs and nests plenty of space.
🏖️ Fill in holes and take all trash and belongings with you when you leave.

Together, our community made a big impact during this year’s International Coastal Cleanup!
🙋 191 volunteers
🗑️ 150 bags of trash
♻️ 178.5 lbs of trash removed
📍 6 cleanup locations
Thank you to all who joined us, including Rosemary Beach, Paddle for Peace at Grayton Beach, and the WaterColor Community Association, in helping expand the reach of !

♻️ Have recyclables piling up? Walton County has convenient options to help keep them out of the landfill!
Bring clean paper, plastics and corrugated cardboard to public recycling trailers located throughout the county. Residents can also use the landfill drop-off center for additional recycling services.
A little recycling goes a long way! 🌿💚
