South Walton Seahawk Football

💚🖤🤍 SEAHAWK NATION, FAMILY COMES FIRST. 🏈🌀

Well, Seahawks… it looks like Mother Nature has officially called a timeout on football! 🏈

Today’s game has officially been CANCELED as Hurricane Isaias makes its way toward our area.

And while we all love football and cheering on our boys under those Friday Night Lights, there is something far more important right now… OUR FAMILIES AND OUR COMMUNITY. 💚

Today, we trade our football preparations for hurricane preparations. We secure our homes, check on our neighbors, protect our loved ones, and do what this amazing community does best… WE COME TOGETHER.

💚 SEAHAWK NATION, LET’S CHECK IN! 💚

We want to hear from our Seahawk families! How is everyone doing? Are you staying or heading out? Are you prepared?

👇 COMMENT BELOW and let us know how your family is doing!

And please, if you or someone you know needs help, whether it’s preparing, finding supplies, or simply having someone check on them, PLEASE LET US KNOW! This community is full of incredible people with hearts bigger than any storm.

To our players, coaches, parents, grandparents, alumni, and every family that makes up Seahawk Nation… please stay safe.

Football is what brings us together, but FAMILY IS WHAT KEEPS US TOGETHER. 💚

We are more than a football program. We are a FAMILY. And families look out for one another.

Stay safe, Seahawk Nation. Take care of each other, follow local emergency guidance, and remember…

STORMS MAY COME AND GO, BUT SEAHAWK STRONG IS FOREVER! 🦅💚🖤🤍

HOMECOMING. FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. THE NEST. 💚🖤🤍
There are football games… and then there are nights like TONIGHT.
The kind of night that brings an entire community together. The kind these boys will remember years from now. The parade. The floats. The tailgate. The families. The little Seahawks watching their heroes. And then, as the sun goes down…
THE FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS COME ON. 🥹🏈✨
And when they do, SEAHAWK NATION — WE NEED YOU READY.
📣 Ready to get LOUD.
💚 Ready to fill those stands.
🔥 Ready to bring the energy.
🦅 Ready to remind these boys that an ENTIRE COMMUNITY is standing behind them.
We’ll kick off the celebration with all the Homecoming traditions, and then we want to see our Seahawk families at the TAILGATE AT 5:00 PM! Come eat, laugh, celebrate and make some memories with us before we head into The Nest.
Then at 7:00 PM… IT’S GAME TIME. 🏈🔥
Tonight is bigger than football. It’s tradition. It’s community. It’s the memories our kids will carry with them long after the final whistle.
THIS IS HOMECOMING.
THIS IS FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS.
THIS IS SOUTH WALTON. 💚🖤🤍
See you at the tailgate at 5:00 and under those lights at 7:00!
LET’S FILL THE NEST. LET’S BRING THE NOISE. LET’S GOOOOOO SEAHAWKS! 🦅🏈🔥

🏈💚 FROM WEARING THE GREEN & BLACK… TO COACHING THE NEXT GENERATION. 💚🏈

There’s something special about a former Seahawk coming home and pouring everything he learned back into the program that helped shape him.

Entering his 2nd season with South Walton Football, Coach Tanner Kotowske brings energy, experience, and a whole lot of Seahawk pride to our sidelines as he works with our Cornerbacks.

But Coach Kotowske’s story with South Walton started long before he became a coach.

From 2014–2017, he wore the green and black himself — competing at wide receiver, defensive back, and special teams, earning All-State honors, and learning firsthand what it means to represent SOUTH WALTON.

He went on to continue his football career at Maryville College in Tennessee, playing cornerback and contributing on special teams.

And when his playing days ended, he came back to where it all started. 💚

Coach Kotowske has also given back to South Walton through our soccer program, coaching in 2021–2022 and again from 2024–2025. His commitment goes beyond one sport — it’s about developing athletes, building young men, and giving back to the Seahawk community.

Perhaps the best part of his story?

Coach Kotowske spent four years playing for Coach Phil Tisa.

During those years, he learned that nothing is given. Everything is earned.

Work hard.
Compete.
Be accountable.
Earn it — on the field and off.

Those are the same expectations Coach Kotowske now brings to the players he coaches every single day.

He knows the tradition.
He knows the expectations.
He knows what that SEAHAWK across your chest means.

Because before he coached the standard…

HE LIVED IT. 🏈🔥

Seahawk Nation, help us show some love for Coach Tanner Kotowske!

💚 ONCE A SEAHAWK. ALWAYS A SEAHAWK.
🏈

🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET | 9.11.01 🇺🇸
Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, South Walton Football pauses to remember.
We remember the lives lost. We honor the heroes who ran toward danger. And we remember a time when, in the midst of unimaginable tragedy, our country came together as ONE.
Today, Head Coach Phil Tisa shares these words with our players, families and Seahawk community:
“25 years since the tragedy of 9/11. As heartbreaking as that day was, a shining moment in American history transpired when an entire country of mixed political ideas, races, and religions came together as one to heal.
We hope we honor those 343 firefighters, 60 police officers, 8 paramedics and the passengers of Flight 93 who gave their lives by running towards the chaos. Their story of courage should inspire us all to be the best versions of ourselves.
WE ARE SOUTH WALTON. GO SEAHAWKS!”
— Head Coach Phil Tisa
Today we remember their courage. Their sacrifice. Their service. 🇺🇸
May we never forget what was lost that day—and may we never forget what it looked like when America stood together.
🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET. 9•11•01
💚🖤🤍 WE ARE SOUTH WALTON.

🇺🇸 Paratroopers will fly into The Nest as part of this special tribute.

💚🖤🤍 LET’S FREAKIN’ GO SEAHAWKS!!! 🏈🔥

😂 Yes! Since this is one of those necessary-but-not-exactly-exciting reminders, I’d have fun with it—especially because kickoff is 7 PM tonight at The Nest against Florida High.
🏈😂 A LITTLE FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS PSA, SEAHAWK NATION! 😂🏈
We KNOW you’re already thinking about what really matters tonight…
FOOTBALL. SEAHAWKS. THE NEST. 💚🖤🤍🔥
But before you head out the door, here’s your friendly reminder:
🎒 Leave the backpacks at home!
🥤 And those giant Yetis & Stanleys? They’ll have to sit this one out too! 😂
No backpacks or personal drink containers are allowed inside the stadium.
We’d hate for you to make that walk all the way to the gate only to hear, “Sorry… back to the car!” 😩😂
So travel light, wear your GREEN, BLACK & WHITE, bring that SEAHAWK SPIRIT and save all that carrying energy for MAKING SOME NOISE! 📣🔥
