Is this the perfect wading setup? For me, yes.
Staying minimal while having everything you need is a personal preference but when I’m wading in the low country or walking the flats in more tropical destinations this is what I swear by.

Meet Capt. Ben Whalley, our latest After Work Featured.
Full-time flats guide out of Cumberland, Maine. First fish was a barracuda, landed on a Mickey Mouse rod at three years old. Now he spends his days sight-fishing striped bass and searun browns on Maine’s southern flats.
We talked resilience, the fish still on his bucket list, and the fight he’s already in for the next generation of anglers.

Shout out to the girls! Summer may be long but watching my 5 year old go from abusing her practice rod to casting at blue gills at lunch is something I’ll never forget.
Proud dad moment and hopefully the first of many on the water.
