This post is for all of the Dads that have been yelling "encouragement" at their baseball playing children from the stands. It's time for your kids and wife to yell at you from the stands! Let's see how you respond to your favorite words of encouragment: just throw strikes, don't walk him, don't swing at bad pitches, that was too high, can you even catch a baseball, wait for your pitch, keep your head in there, etc, etc. Get off your duff and come play some baseball!

When I was growing up, we had one pair, maybe 2 pairs of scissors in our home. Heaven forbid you were ever caught using a pair of them to trim the leather on your baseball glove or cut a cardboard box to make a fort, at best you would receive a serious tongue lashing, at worst, you may have been spanked(usually because you made a smart butt comment about the sanctity of the scissors.) My how times have changed. I guess you could say we have made it. 8 pairs of scissors, 8, count em.
