This was our first team race at Virginia international Raceway… Although two of our drivers had prior experience with other teams.
I would consider this track, very technical and fast… Kind of like AMP and CMP combined.
Ken and Ernie started the race Friday with the first two stents since they both had prior experience. Bill and I finished third and fourth stents… Unfortunately, we developed a break leak at the beginning of my stint, so Bill and I had to adjust and finish the race P4 overall in P7 in class. Not too shabby first time at this track and with no brakes half the day.
We found the problem Friday night, put new brakes all the way around, changed out all four tires and battled our way to a P2 in class and P3 overall out of 47 teams!
That brings our total podium finishes to 25 in three seasons, and we are only four points out of third place for the Southern Endurance Cup championship. We have two points races remaining at CMP in September.
 As always, we cannot do it without everyone on the team pitching in, and we couldn’t do it without our sponsors and supporters! Thank you!

2 WEEKS
We will be at VIR for the first time…headed into that weekend 6th in points overall and only 6 points out of the top three for the 2026 Southern Endurance Cup Championship.
There are only 4 points races remaining!

What a weekend at AMP…
Another double podium at a track that should not favor an S197 Mustang…our success here defies logic. As Sean says, “the math ain’t mathin right” 😆
Saturday P2 in “A” class, P2 overall…Sunday P3 in “A” class and P3 overall. Frankenstang worked flawlessly during 7 hours Saturday and 8 hours Sunday. He may be old but he’s tough and has some “giddy-up”!
The Drivers were consistent and surgical, Sean made some good strategy calls. All 48 competitors ran a great race, and there were very few incidences. This track is so technical and challenging that a driver never gets a moment to “rest” when in the car…full attention and full body usage are key to surviving…

Hopefully this weekend bumped us up in the Southern Region Endurance Cup points!

I’m still in shock…what an epic race at a legendary track with the best team.
This was only our second race in the ChampCar Endurance Series EC class, which is a tough class considering there are practically no performance upgrade rules/penalties.
The car and the team were flawless! We battled for the lead throughout the entire 14 hours! As a matter of fact, all four of our drivers led the race throughout the day.
Our newest driver, Parker Shields, laid down some 2:14 laps, but was pushed into the wall making a pass on the tri-oval, spinning into the grass…and we thought our day was done. Until Sean the crew chief assessed the damage and the team sprung into action and got the car back out in record time without even going to the garage. This happened with 3 hours remaining in the race. Bill Herrington, Ken Adams and myself drove a severely damaged vehicle, chasing down 1st place putting down some respectable lap times of 2:20. With only an hour remaining in the race, I got in and made some 2:16’s until we were within a minute of the leader! On the LAST LAP, the leader cut down a tire and contacted another car!
There was some divine intervention if you ask Pastor Paul Broussard, who held the pre race prayer via FaceTime!
What an epic race, what an effort, what an epic team!

This weekend was our 21st podium finish, and our 7th win across two national endurance series in 3 seasons. We have been very blessed!
