Ellsworth Design Build

This mid-century kitchen + bath remodel was featured in Savannah Magazine, and it’s one of those projects that proves a home can be sophisticated and still have a whole lot of personality.

We embraced warm wood tones, playful tile, streamlined cabinetry and unexpected pops of color to create spaces that feel fresh and modern while still honoring their mid-century roots.

We love a beautiful neutral, but sometimes the right answer is COLOR.

Have a home that doesn’t quite feel like you yet? That’s where we come in. From the first design ideas through construction, Ellsworth Design Build can help you create a home that looks beautiful, functions better and feels completely personal.

We’re currently accepting new kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home remodeling projects in the Savannah area.

There’s something about a bathroom that feels a little bit like a retreat.

For this primary bath, we layered soft blue-gray cabinetry, warm brass finishes, marble-look tile and a freestanding tub to create a space that feels polished.

The goal wasn’t just a beautiful bathroom - it was creating a room that makes everyday routines feel a little more special.

If your bathroom is functional but not exactly a place you love spending time, it might be time for a change.

We’re currently taking on new bathroom, kitchen, and whole-home remodeling projects in the Savannah area.

There’s something extra special about seeing one of our projects in print.

This West Savannah kitchen remodel was featured in Savannah Magazine’s Best of Savannah HOMES issue - and it’s still one of our favorite examples of what thoughtful design can do.

The homeowner wanted a kitchen that felt warm, collected and completely at home in Savannah. We paired timeless finishes with locally sourced reclaimed barnwood, using it on the floating shelves, island and beams, then gave a vintage salvaged door new life as the pantry entrance.

The result is a kitchen with character, history and plenty of personality - but one that works beautifully for everyday life.

Thinking about remodeling your kitchen, bathroom or home? We’d love to help you take it from “I know this space could be better” to a finished design that feels completely yours.

We’re thrilled to unveil this delightful laundry room built inside the original porch! This space combines timeless charm with modern flair, featuring crisp white Shaker cabinets for a classic look. The apron front sink and wall-mounted bridge-style polished nickel faucet add a touch of elegance. Custom touches include a brass rail and a peg rail for both style and practicality. The standout feature is the custom Greek key heritage mosaic tile in sunny gold and white, which brightens up the entire room. Original exposed siding brings a unique warmth and character to the space. Swipe to see the stunning transformation and let us know what you think!

We received a request from longtime patrons to create their own personal wellness center. We accomplished this by enclosing a portion of their screened porch. The finished space contains pilates and fitness equipment, a stunning freestanding tub, swing bed, and a beautiful view of the backyard.

Flashback Friday to this historic home originally built by Silas Fulton, a free man of color, in 1860. The first floor was later converted into a store, and eventually the property was expanded and divided into townhouses. During the course of this project, we kept as much of the original fabric as possible. We also sourced repurposed materials to replace what was either missing or not salvageable. The discovery of the original haint blue ceiling inspired many color decisions for the rest of the space, including the color of this kitchen island and a refinished original clawfoot tub.

A primary focus of Ellsworth Design Build is forming relationships with our patrons, and this kitchen, completed in 2022, belongs to one of our returning patrons. We recently completed the laundry room remodel of this residence, pictured here just beyond this gorgeous kitchen. As the weather warms up and has us all spending more time outside, why not refresh your exterior? We increased the curb appeal of this Ardsley Park home beginning with installing new slate that matched the original. The handrails were carefully removed, repaired, sandblasted, and powder coated to match the beautiful ironwork. Swipe right to see the gorgeous handrail detail!
