This fall, the Schenectady Community Advocates Program will be offering a series of four organizing sessions starting October 6 as they prepare for the 2027 NYS legislative session, and the impending Medicaid cuts due to newly imposed work requirements. Concerned for the Hungry, Inc. is accepting sign-ups for its Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive. The program provides families with four days' worth of food throughout the holiday weekend. The program is in its 47th year.

Counties across New York are preparing to absorb a much larger share of the cost of running SNAP after the federal government eliminated its share of the program's administrative funding.

Mohonasen students can now bring home food to their families each month The program is intended to provide free healthy groceries for up to 60 families in the Mohonasen district on a monthly basis.
