In remembrance of Patriot Day, a Kingsway resident created handmade cards of thanks to recognize and honor our local first responders. The cards were personally delivered to the team at Schenectady Fire Station 1 and to EMTs at Mohawk Ambulance Service—just a small gesture to show appreciation for those who serve our community every day!
Residents had the opportunity to learn some fascinating and little-known history from Dr. Lauren Kozakiewicz, University at Albany, who shared her examination of the accomplishments of women elected to the New York State Legislature between 1919 and 1992. Her presentation highlighted the often-overlooked contributions of these women and offered residents a closer look at the impact they made on New York State history.
Whether singing along to a familiar favorite, playing an instrument or simply enjoying the rhythm, music can bring comfort and meaningful moments to everyday life. Many thanks to Natalie, for bringing joy to our Kingsway Manor Assisted Living & Memory Care Center residents!
