Schenectady Municipal Golf Course

Congratulations to Will Atchinson on successfully defending his title in the Tournament of Champions, a match play style event for all league champions in 2026. He defeated Ray Bach 4 and 3 to capture his second straight.

In the consolation match, former champion Ray Polikoski defeated Mark DeMarest 5&4.

Yesterday we posted Head Professional Matt Daley and his team donation page.

Here is our Assistant Professional Jeff Mattice’s donation page as he prepares with Clive Burdon and Andy Nortrup.

Let’s help both professionals get to their goals!

Our PGA Professional Matthew Daley will be competing in the Birdie Challenge and will be accompanied by teammates Bill Sweet and Carl Gilbert.

The goal Is for each team to make as many birdies as possible to raise money for the NENY PGA Reach Foundation.

The foundation is in place to offer support for great programs including PGA Hope, PGA Jr. League as well as create scholarship opportunities for many students! Just scan the QR code and help Matt and his team attain their goal. Thank you!!!

Are you as shocked as we are it’s Labor Day weekend already??? Make no mistake, it’s here! Looks like beautiful weather so the golf will be even better ⛳️ Enjoy!!

We get it. Sometimes
Frustration sets in when putts aren’t dropping, or that easy 100 yard wedge to a
Pin in the middle of the green went about 20 feet.
What we don’t get is why you take your frustrations out on our golf course by damaging our property.
Perhaps it’s time for therapy sessions, golf lessons or anger management?

Thank you to Rick Voris and Daniel Pettey from Guardian Community. They are here supporting veterans and first responders.

Rick and Daniel will be on hole 17 Saturday and Sunday Aug 14-15 challenging golfers
To make a birdie. If a player does, they win $100 gift card to the Schenectady Municipal Golf Shop.

We hope to see you!!

The 2026 Team Wendy today! Wendy O’Connor was a wonderful educator, friend, Mother and family oriented individual! It’s terrific that this event has grown and her memory continues to live on. It was a beautiful day!

Our 2026 Senior Schenectady Classic is officially in the books. Congratulations to Jim Mueller on capturing his 9th Senior title shooting 66-69 135 over Paul Pratico.
