Voices in Stone by artist Anping Liu opens Friday, September 18. Stop by for the opening reception at the New York Folklore Shop and Gallery from 5PM-8PM, during Art Night Schenectady

Voices in Stone features the ancient art of Chinese seal carving reinterpreted into an exploration of cross-cultural connections between China and the US. By combining Eastern and Western symbols and phrases into the seals and their accompanying artwork, artist Anping Liu invites us to reflect on cultural exchange and influence as he approaches the fortieth anniversary of his arrival to the US.
