What a year it has been!
Receiving the Pratt/Seattle Print Arts Partner Grant provided a sanctuary for my practice, offering a dedicated space to play with process, technique, and experimentation. This scholarship made possible learning opportunities and deeper material exploration, while allowing me to scale up my work utilizing the studio’s exceptional presses and facilities. Beyond the physical resources, the true value of this grant lay in the community: the chance to share ideas, learn alongside inspiring instructors, and grow in a vibrant community of fellow creatives. So incredibly grateful to Pratt Fine Arts Center and seattle_print_arts for this wonderful opportunity!

The Night Shift is a celebration of music, art, food, and community at Pike Place Market, presented in partnership with Seattle Downtown Art Walk, The Rabbit Box, and Seattle Office of Economic Development.

It took me several minutes to spot him. Were it not for the slightest movement, a mere tilt of his head, I would have missed him completely. To see a Denise’s pygmy seahorse for the first time is to be entirely star-struck. You can look at pictures in books, but nothing prepares you for the reality of a creature so tiny, so perfectly matched to its host coral, right down to the texture and color.

I’m honored to be part of Between the Sea and Me, an ocean-focused group exhibition presented by PangeaSeed ™ and Europa Gallery / Europa Events, LLC.
The exhibition brings together Pacific Northwest and regional artists exploring our personal relationships with the ocean through memory, emotion, place, imagination, and responsibility.

The exhibition will also be on view August 10–13.

Thank you Bellevue Arts Fair and Bellevue Arts Museum for a fabulous show! The organizers and volunteers were truly amazing, and I am still buzzing from all the kind and inspiring conversations with everyone who stopped by.
Meeting so many wonderful art lovers and fellow creators made this weekend unforgettable. My heart is so full! Thank you for supporting my work and making this show so special.

I am completely blown away by how well organized this event is and the incredible caliber of artists showing their work. Yesterday was amazing, and I am just so grateful to be here surrounded by so much creativity.

Egrets? I’ve had a few. (But this one is my favorite.)
There is something about the way a Great Egret stands so perfectly still that makes you hold your breath. I’ve been wanting to capture that “white watcher” energy for a while now.
I started with a collagraph plate to get all those organic, crinkly textures in the feathers, then went back in with watercolor. It’s a bit of a slow process, but I think the layering was worth it.
Big print release coming this May!

Dad always dropped everything for the little myna that visited our 7th-floor balcony. They’d share a few notes, a brief conversation, and he’d be left with the widest smile. Now, when I see a chickadee or a junco in my own yard, it’s like a hello from him. These monotypes are my way of keeping that song going.
