Sparkling chanteuse John C***s and adult performer Jonah Wheeler return to Seattle with a new evening of q***r frivolity, original songs, and unhinged mashups. At turns hilarious, h***y, and heartbreaking, these two punslingers will stuff you full of q***r joy like a reverse pinata. Following up John’s dark comedy BLEAK at Seattle Town Hall in 2023 (and performances with the 5th Avenue Theater, ACT Theater, and the Seattle Symphony), partner-in-life-and-performance Jonah now throws his Broadway-arranger-turned-adult-star hat into the ring. Described as “something between late-night cabaret, avant-garde therapy, and a fever dream from too many espresso martinis,” John and Jonah have been touring all the very gay places – Provincetown, Puerto Vallarta, New York City, San Francisco– and descend on the Rabbit Box on Sept 20.

Seattle’s The Bad Things are known for their eclectic blend of folk, klezmer, punk, and Americana. Formed in 2002 by singer-songwriter/accordionist Jimmy “The Pickpocket” Berg, the group quickly gained a devoted following with their theatrical performances and gritty, carnival-esque sound. Their music, often described as “cabaret for the end times,” weaves tales of love, death, addiction, and redemption with a raw, narrative-driven edge that draws comparisons to Tom Waits, The Pogues and Gogol Bo****lo. The Bad Things have released four albums on their Silent City Records label including “It’ll All Be Over Soon” and “After the Inferno,” each showcasing their talent for balancing the macabre with the melodic. They are currently working on their fifth, slated for release in the first half of 2026. Their live shows are legendary for their immersive, old-world atmosphere and dramatic flair, often incorporating theatrical elements that make them as much a visual experience as a musical one. Despite multiple lineup changes and evolving styles, The Bad Things remain one of Seattle’s most enduring and original musical acts, continuing to defy genre boundaries while maintaining a deep connection to their roots in the punk and folk traditions.

Mister Ink emerges holding some weird vaguely recognizable instrument you are probably right and wrong all the same. There will be stories. There will be howling and hollering. There will be oddly captivating rhythms seducing you into his world. A subterranean labyrinth of folk tales, dirty limericks, and salacious magic rooted in the ancient heartbeat of humanity. Somewhere in the mud where myth crashes into meat there is Mister Ink asking you for just a little more time.

Lady A, LadyA known as “The Hardest Workin’ Woman in Blues, Soul, Funk & Gospel,” is a powerhouse vocalist, producer, singer-songwriter, storyteller, and community activist whose music brings heart, truth, and purpose to every stage she steps on. A four-time Washington Blues Society award winner, Lady A has captivated audiences throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe with performances that inspire, educate, and uplift. In July 2026, Lady A releases her highly anticipated new album project, The Space in Between. The Space in Between is about the conversations we avoid, the memories we hold onto, the laughter, the tears, and the place we all find ourselves somewhere between brokenness and healing. There’s a message in every lyric — and a little piece of everybody in the songs. Beyond performing, Lady A is the founder of Lady A’s Blues and Blessings Foundation, a teaching artist, producer, community workshop leader, and radio personality on the Walter Trout Blues Rock Radio Station, where she champions independent artists. Her motto: “Be Blessed and Be a Blessing!”
