I know a lot of people struggle with the bead on edge, or French endbands. They can be super fiddly to start and that is frustrating. Instead of giving up on endbands altogether, might I suggest you try out the Islamic endband. It’s super easy to work up, and makes a beautiful Chevron pattern. I have tied down in every other signature, and I use stickies to mark the centers, removing them as I go so I know where I’ve already tied down. I recommend following the instructions in the book Endbands from East to West by Jane Greenfield and Jenny Hille. However, sometimes there are steps that are difficult to follow as text-based instructions, so I have tried to clarify the steps that I found kind of murky with this video. I made it slow and long on with many different angles so hopefully it helps you follow the instructions from the book a little bit better.
