One consistent element of radio is change. The industry is changing in all aspects, including ratings and revenue. So, this begins a new and different week for me as I move to the afternoon show, 2 to 6 PM. I hope you’ll listen so we can keep our jobs! Download the Northwest Newsradio app or else we can’t be friends. 😉
Love you, Chris Parente. Preach!
He doesn’t care. 🐦⬛
I’m still not ready. Never will be. Remembering 9/11 25 years later still rips at my heart. I was the only current member of Northwest Newsradio on our station (then KOMO) that day. I’ll share that and a visit with Lindsay Cohen about her 9/11 experience as a brand new Journalism student in NYC. Also, give grace today. And tomorrow…
Keep the four-letter F-word season outta your mouth (even though I slipped for explanation purposes and utter clarity 🤣). Happy !

This is Mike. I was lucky to be a speaker for a luncheon today, sharing about growing up in Western Washington and working in local media for more than 30 years. I shared a bit about my Dad and his work with Sellen Construction. Mike came up to me afterward and said, “I worked with your Dad.” That can go one of two ways 🤣. He fondly recalled my Dad’s grit and leadership and determination to make sure the projects he was a Superintendent on were successful. Legacy is a precious thing. Honored. Thanks, Mike.
My Dolly thoughts. And a warning: I might be wearing a pink rhinestoned dress tomorrow.
