We are excited to share an update from this week’s Seeking Safety workshop, where our participants engaged in a wonderful session creating vision boards.

Every Friday, we partner with community members to share, heal, and grow together as we connect safe thinking to everyday life. We truly appreciate your ongoing support in making these gatherings a meaningful space for our participants. 🌟 Face of the Month: Devina 🌟

This September, we are honored to celebrate Devina, whose journey is a powerful reminder that transformation is possible at every stage of life.

At 54, Devina has overcome incredible challenges, including being unhoused, incarceration, and substance use. Rather than allowing her past to define her, she has chosen to let it fuel a future built on hope, healing, and purpose.

With the support of Arms Around You's wraparound services, Devina has reclaimed her life, reconnected with her children, and is creating a new legacy grounded in love, accountability, and resilience. Today, she is pursuing certification as a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) so she can walk alongside others on their own paths to healing and recovery.

Devina believes that lived experience can become a source of strength and that every person deserves the opportunity for a second chance. Her compassion, determination, and commitment to serving others inspire everyone around her.

Her personal motto says it best:

"Today I choose me!"
