Rooted values, honors and respects the relationships that make life worth living. Founded by two lifelong friends, Rooted creates sustainable, living memories of beloved pets after they have passed on. In practice, product, service and principle, our mission is to honor, to add value and to create a net-positive impact on every living relationship -- with our customers, employees, investors, the environment -- with all. Rooted is a startup offering pet aftercare services to pet parents. Rooted is all about honoring pets and our planet in the natural pet loss process! Rooted noticed that the way the US manages pet loss today is quite archaic and harmful to the environment. In the past 18 months, Rooted has pioneered a new technology harnessing nature and a little science to gently transform a pet in the most natural manner possible. The end result is usable, nutrient rich soil (think composting with a twist) that can be returned to the pet parent and/or donated to a cause such as urban reforestation or park restoration projects.
