All Saints' Sunday
Columbarium Open

The columbarium will be open this All Saints' Sunday for those who might like to visit the Saints who have gone before us, light a candle, or say a prayer. You are welcome to bring flowers to honor a loved one. It is located by entering through the Parlor. Several times a year we open the columbarium, but you are always welcome to ask a staff member to open it for you any Sunday or during office hours.

Women's Retreat 2024

A beautiful time of fun and fellowship was had last week at our annual Women's Retreat at Rainbow Lodge led by Pastor Anita! We are grateful for these special times our congregation members have to spend together.

Happy Halloween!

Our Young Adults Group had a great time of fun and fellowship last night at their pumpkin painting party! Look at those beautiful pumpkins!

Pastor Anita and Pastor Leigh attended Evergreen's annual meeting this past weekend in Salt Lake City, doing the business of the region and worshipping and learning together!

Welcome to our new front office!

We had a wonderful open house on Wednesday to show our newly redesigned front office spaces and introduce everyone to our wonderful new Office Manager and Small Groups Coordinator, Christina Sunstone! We also enjoyed delicious baked goods from Pinoyshki Bakery & Cafe.

Bob Sittig and our administrator Darren Hochstedler also led tours of our sanctuary renovations, which are almost completed! Join us for Homecoming on Sunday, September 8 to see the new chancel in person.

Stop by the office during our new hours:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9am-4pm
Friday 9am-3pm
Office closed Saturday, Sunday, Monday

Community Worship and Picnic
Sunday, August 18, 2024

Over 100 people gathered throughout the day on Sunday to worship outside, bounce in the bouncy house, eat hotdogs, listen to Pastor Leigh’s great music playlist and just have a good time. We estimate over 30 community members joined us. People enjoyed touring the Stimson-Green Mansion and viewing historic pictures of SFBC through the decades.

We would like to thank our picnic partners including Birch Road, the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, and the First Hill Improvement Association. Also special thanks to all the volunteers and staff who helped make the event a success. Your gifts of time and skill are appreciated. See you next summer “in the park!"

And thank you to the Men’s Group for grilling up 150 Hotdogs at Stimson-Green Mansion!

Chancel renovation is well underway and proceeding on time and on budget. Hardwood floor will be installed later this week. Mark your calendars for September 8th when worship returns to the sanctuary!

We had a great Senior Retreat last week at Rainbow Lodge! Thank you to all who participated and to Pastor Anita for crafting a wonderful program!
