Kin On was born out of a deep need and the generous support the Asian community. We were one of the first Asian language nursing homes in America and have become the inspiration for many since our inception in 1985. More than 30 years later, we continue to expand our offerings in both depth of care and the types of options we provide. Meanwhile, we are preparing for one the greatest influxes of new elders our country has ever seen. Perhaps you or someone you know will be among them? No one knows what the future holds, but our present is quite clear: Those who give; Their time. Their talents make Kin On possible. and will ensure our work for decades to come. As a community supported 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Kin On relies heavily on our community’s generosity. No matter how big or small, your contributions are vital in enabling Asian elders and disabled adults in the greater Seattle area to receive health and social services tailored to their language, culture and heritage. One way to give back to the community is to become a volunteer at Kin On! 🎉 A huge thank-you to everyone who made our Seniors' Day a success!
On August 29, over 550 attendees gathered at Bellevue City Hall to mark a decade of connection, culture, and community. Special thanks to Bellevue Mayor Mo Malakoutian for joining us with remarks, and to the Mak Fai Kung Fu Dragon & Lion Dance Association for kicking things off with a spirited lion dance!✨
The day featured:
🏛️ 18 exhibitors sharing local community resources
🎤 10+ performances, including our first-ever band performance from the WA State Letter Carriers, plus dancing, singing, drumming, and tai chi from our Healthy Living members
🎨 5 interactive art activities led by our Healthy Living instructors
📋 3 workshops from East West Bank, Northwest Kidney Centers, and Kin On — covering elder financial fraud prevention, kidney-healthy eating, and aging resources
Thank you all for your support — we couldn't do it without our community, partners, and volunteers! 💛

The Pancake Breakfast is back! 🥞
Join us Saturday, September 19, 8am–1pm at Blaine Memorial United Methodist Church for pancakes for a great cause!
For over 20 years, the Seattle First Hill Lions Club has hosted this event to support Kin On, Kawabe Memorial House, Legacy House, and Keiro.

At Kin On, we see every day the importance of planning ahead for long-term care.
WA Cares is Washington State’s public long-term care insurance program funded through payroll contributions. Eligible workers who meet the required contribution and care criteria may qualify for a lifetime benefit of up to $36,500 (adjusted for inflation) to help cover long-term care services.
We encourage members of our community to stay informed and explore how WA Cares may support their long-term care planning needs.
