Today is a big day for the nonprofit community in Seattle - it's the Seattle Foundation's Give Big event. One day a year, they leverage private donations by doing a 1:1 match for local nonprofits. And this year is especially unique - it's the last time they're doing it!
My partner Serves on the board for the Seattle-King County Coalition on Homelessness. This advocacy organization fights for policy that advances safety, housing, and justice for people experiencing homelessness. Right now, they're leading the charge in getting a $75 million/year progressive big business tax to house and shelter our houseless neighbors.
