It’s hard to believe there’s just one week of summer camp left! It’s been so great seeing all the joyful learning and play that took over campus this summer thanks to our partners at Seattle Children's Theatre, Coding with Kids, and Kids Science Labs, not to mention the excellent teachers running our in-house clubs like Outdoor Explorers, Art, and Sports with Becky. Here’s to a great last week of Epiphany Summer Camp!

It’s been a busy summer here on the Epiphany campus and we wanted to give a special shoutout to our ever-popular Senior Facilities Manager Mr. B, who’s been overseeing the construction in Upper Madrona Hall! Swipe through for a walk-through of what’s about to become two beautiful new classrooms for our rising kindergartners. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to our new and improved campus in the fall!

That’s a wrap on the first week of Epiphany Summer Camp! The upper-grade campers learned different techniques in A Journey Into Watercolors, the youngers had fun pretending to be magical creatures in Drama Quest and did arts and crafts in Outdoor Explorers, and students of all ages enjoyed the ever-popular Chess Camp. We can’t wait to see all the creative explorations they dive into next week and hope everyone’s having a wonderful summer so far!

From our beloved annual car parade to Head of School for a Day, the fifth grade-faculty kickball game, family breakfast, and the always moving ceremony itself, we take fifth grade graduation seriously at Epiphany — and this year was no exception. Speeches were given, cars were festooned, happy tears were shed, and the excitement for what’s coming next was palpable. Here’s to doing it all again next year, and happy summer to everyone in our community and beyond!

It was wonderful welcoming so many members of the community to campus today for the all-school morning meeting we held to raise the Pride flag in honor of Pride Month! Special thanks to the brave fifth graders who spoke so eloquently about what Pride means to them and to kinder teacher Star for sharing his story. Happy Pride from our family to yours! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️💫

The pre-k students have shown so much courage and growth this year, and this week brought several enriching events to cap off their study of the ocean. After spending weeks learning about the zones and layers of the oceans and the creatures that inhabit them, they traveled to the tide pools at Me Kwa Mools beach to examine crabs, sea stars, anemones, geoducks and more in their natural environments — and then they all got to dissect their very own squid! Eyes were covered, squeals were heard, and it was a great precursor to all the new experiences they’ll have when they move up to kindergarten next year.

Huge congratulations to our fourth- and fifth-grade mathletes for rocking Math Olympiad this year — especially Sybil R., who had the highest Epiphany score this year and placed in the top 20% of all elementary contenders worldwide! The other students pictured scored in the top 50% worldwide; we’re so proud of them and all the competitors for their hard work and dedication this year.

From business lessons to buddy time! It was smiles all around today when it finally came time for the second graders to give the stuffies they made as part of their economics unit to their pre-k buddies. For this culminating event, the students designed and sewed stuff animals, created logos, made business cards, and presented to family and friends at our annual Toy Expo. Huge thanks to the wonderful parent volunteers who helped the students learn to sew — and kudos to the second graders for the creativity, perseverance, and confidence they displayed!

We can’t believe we’re only 12 days out from the end of the year — and that the time is coming so soon to say goodbye to our departing fifth graders! Their signature traditions have already begun: Today, they channeled their inner Impressionists painting en plain air with Madame Z., and they recently headed to the arboretum for our annual Fifth Grade Spring Sports Day (swipe right). Still to come: French Pique-unique by the lake, the exchange of buddy books, Graduation Breakfast, Head of School for the Day…there won’t be a dry eye in the house come graduation day!
