🗳️ THE GREAT DEBATE ’26 returns to Columbia City!

Originally launched as Oct-Voter-Fest in 2013, The Great Debate returns to Rainier Arts Center for an afternoon bringing voters, candidates, advocates, and community together to hear directly about races and issues affecting our region.

🎤 Debates: 12–5 PM
🎟️ FREE | 21+
The program includes debates for the 11th Legislative District, 37th Legislative District Position 1, and King County Council District 2, plus a debate on Initiative IL26-638. Live music from Michael Powers begins when doors open, with food and drinks available throughout the day.

Ink Plate Paper: Seattle Print Arts at the Columbia City Gallery
is excited to partner with Columbia City Gallery for Ink, Plate, Paper, a member exhibition showcasing contemporary printmaking from across the Pacific Northwest.
The show will feature both framed and unframed work, with an emphasis on smaller prints for the holiday season.
Submission deadline: September 30
Exhibition: November 18–January 3
Artist Reception: November 21, 5–7 PM

Thank you, 98118! 💛
This festival is what it is because of you. More than 1,300 neighbors came together in Columbia Park for a day filled with music, dance, art, food, culture, creativity, and connection.
To the 55 artists who shared their work, the performers who brought our stages to life, the vendors and community organizations who showed up for the neighborhood, our volunteers and partners, and every family, friend, and neighbor who spent the day with us: thank you.
98118 Fest is a celebration of the people and cultures that make Southeast Seattle what it is—and we’re grateful we got to celebrate it with you.

Experience the energy of Seoul-based Korean folk fusion trio 상자루 / Sangjaru , blending the storytelling traditions of pansori, the improvisation of sanjo, and the melodies of minyo with gypsy swing, funk, rock, jazz, and more.
They’ll be joined by special guest Iris Kymm, a Seattle-based Korean indie singer-songwriter bringing her own blend of alternative pop, R&B, jazz, rock, and electronic influences.
