Thank you all for the Birthday wishes. It means the world to me. And since I have a captive audience today, I thought I’d do a little update.

A lot has changed since I last posted about our new company UMxID™. That post was really about where the idea came from, my mom, my music career pivot, and a decision to build something that mattered to me. Here is about what’s happened since.

We brought on our first hire as a company, a Senior Developer who’s now our Founding Technical Lead. Watching someone else believe in this enough to build it with me, full time, still gets me a little emotional.

We just launched the new website and brand overhaul at www.umxid.com. It’s the first time UMxID™ has looked like what it actually is.

Behind the scenes, we’re in active conversations with state governments on VOTExID™ and DMVxID™, and with hospital systems on CREDxID™. We’ve got 9 working prototypes now, and we filed a non-provisional patent covering more than 40 verticals. Our advisory board now includes several of the smartest, most talented folks I’ve met. People who didn’t have to say yes to us, and did anyway. We’ve welcomed a number of new investors and strategic partners, all of whom are excited to help us solve this problem.

None of this happened because of some magical abilities. It happened because people kept showing up, including a lot of you reading this.
