Built in 1922, Virginia V is one of the last operating steamships in America. She still operates as a passenger vessel! Virginia V.

Mailing address: PO Box 9566, Seattle, WA 98109 The Virginia V is a 125-foot National Historical Landmark Steamship built in 1922 to carry passengers and freight between Vashon Island, Seattle and Tacoma in Washington state. She is the last operational wooden hull, steam-powered vessel of Puget Sound’s famed ‘Mosquito Fleet’, a predecessor to the Washington State Ferries system. The Virginia V is available for public charter and education and is operated by The Steamer Virginia V Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to promote Puget Sound maritime history through the restoration, preservation, operation and interpretation of the S.S. 📖 **Saturday at 11 AM** — Cruise with our historian Ed Brown as he shares stories and history from Puget Sound’s maritime past.

🚢 VIRGINIA V IS HEADING NORTH! 🇺🇸

The America 250 Tour continuesas VIRGINIA V begins the North Passage of our journey through Puget Sound!

This September and October, we’re bringing our 104 year-old steamship to communities throughout the northern Sound, with stops in:

⚓ Coupeville
⚓ Bellingham
⚓ Everett
⚓ Kingston

Each stop will be a little different, with opportunities for public cruises, open ship hours, historic talks, live music, dockside tours, and more along the way.

We can’t wait to welcome new communities aboard, share the history of VIRGINIA V, and celebrate America 250 from the water.
