Once a month we'll gather in the children's garden at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands for family work parties tending garden beds planted by students in our youth programs. There will be jobs for all ages: weeding, watering, harvesting, digging and even a tasty garden snack or two!

Farm stand update: Our farm stand at Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands will be closed this Thursday, September 24. That means last week was our last one of the 2026 season.

Thank you for an amazing season! Some highlights:

Managing your farm's finances can be stressful. We've got two sessions to help. 💰🌱

At this year's Tilth Conference, Boldly Grown Farm is showing what's worked for them! First, they'll give you a walk through of the real tools they use to track cash flow and manage the books – no love of spreadsheets required. In part two, they're bringing borrowers and lenders together to demystify the lending process so you can approach lenders with confidence and choose the right financing for your farm. We'll be joined by AgWest Farm Credit and USDA Farm Service Agency in part two.

Calling all parents of 3rd-5th graders! 🍂

Our "Autumn's Abundance" after-school cooking program is back! Over 3 weeks, your camper will cook up cozy fall favorites like hearty soups, warm baked goods, and a savory succotash, all while learning real kitchen skills like knife safety, chopping, and measuring.

They'll also get hands-on in the garden, helping care for our fall crops and get things ready for winter. Plus, every dish comes with a custom recipe card to take home, so the fun keeps going at your table too.
