David Milarch is an arborist from central Michigan. In 1991, Milarch had a near-death experience that inspired a personal quest – to archive the genetics of the world's most giant trees before they're gone and to replant global forests to fight climate change. We are joining David and his efforts to save the redwood champions of Northern California from the ravages of climate change by planting them in Washington State. Propagation Nation is a non-profit that is extending the range of these iconic trees in the face of a changing climate. Our saplings have the same genetic structure as trees that have survived over 3,000 years and have the capacity to remove more airborne carbon than any other species in the Pacific Northwest. Join us in the mission to save the redwoods and our planet.

Since opening in 2018, Wooden City Tacoma has prioritized giving back to the community through the Draft Old Fashioned donation program - $1 of every Draft Old Fashioned sold is donated to local organizations.

One way to ID a coast redwood other than the telltale auburn bark is the alternating pattern of alternating needle arrangement. This helps distinguish a redwood from other flat-needled PNW conifers, like Western hemlock and grand fir.

Gorgeous sustainability salvaged redwood from California. While there is not a current large commercial redwood market in the PNW, PN is working with tree farmers and other stakeholders to help develop a thriving market for future crops. Redwood has similar applications to cedar but can be harvested in just 30 years! What would you build with redwood 🧐

Planted just under 35 years ago, these gorgeous redwoods stand tall in Lewis County, WA. Notice how they thrive in tandem with sword ferns and other native PNW understory species.
Someday these little guys will be hundreds of feet tall and capture unimaginable quantities of carbon 💫 Can you picture it?
