Grief doesn't disappear, it softens and spreads out over time. Today at 3:30pm, we're launching our Online LGBTQ+ Grief & Loss Support Group for caregivers and community members 50+.

This Saturday we're joining African Americans Reach & Teach Health Ministry (AARTH) at their Annual Health & Wellness Fair, and we'd love a few volunteers alongside us. 9/19, 10am to 2pm, Matt Griffin YMCA in SeaTac.

It's a free day built around healthy and empowered aging for elders of African descent, with raffles, food, music, and line dancing running throughout.

Trans and Two-Spirit elders in rural towns across the Pacific Northwest have stories worth a room of their own.
The TransRural Elders Conference (TREC) is October 23 to 25, 2026 in Ellensburg, WA. Three days of storytelling, resources, and community, hosted by TransRural Lives.
It’s free. Room, board, and travel can be covered for any Trans or Two-Spirit elder (or close to it) who needs the support. Register for one day or all three.
All are welcome, including family, friends, providers, and organizers. Saturday has separate breakout sessions for primary attendees 50+, for family and friends, for community, for practitioners and organizers, and for all-ages 2SLGBTQ+ folks. Safety and access protocols will be in place so everyone can participate fully.

An artist's life work and a weekend that supports LGBTQ+ elders.

Longtime GenPride supporter and artist Gary Word is opening his studio for a two-day Art Estate Sale on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, 10am to 4pm. Oil and gouache acrylic paintings, glass, marble Greek statuary, ceramic human form sculpture, and decorative pieces for the home or office. Works range from $600 to $21,000, and a generous portion of every sale comes directly to GenPride.

We also need volunteers. 8 people each day, 16 shifts across the weekend, to welcome guests, guide purchases, and handle art. No art background required, just a warm presence. Seating is available for greeters, and we are happy to talk through which role fits you.

Our first dance in May drew over 80 people. This one is going to be a party.

Changes are coming to Apple Health / Medicaid

Starting October 1, some non-citizens ages 19 and older who currently qualify will no longer be eligible. And starting January 1, 2027, adults ages 19 to 64 will face new renewal timelines, work requirements, and reduced retroactive coverage.
