ROVING SCENTWORK CLASS. You can use these as sniff n gos or get coaching.
You may attend any of these you like at any location and weekly attendance is not required. Sign up for what you like. Classes will be added.
Payment is due upon booking. Note: payment is NOT through Sign up Genius. Zelle or Venmo only. Contact me for payment information BEFORE you register.
Sessions are limited to 6 dogs per hour and searches are usually one large search with multiple hides. Searches are set up so that you can break up the search if you like and its hides can be paired for dogs who are newer to working outside or to build more odor obedience.

Taking it to the Streets-last class until spring.
Wed 2:30 9/9-10/7
Take your training to the streets! The first 2 classes will meet at Kokoro. Weeks 1 and 2 will start with skills review inside including mat training/settling, engagement and loose leash walking. Weeks 3 and 4 we will practice these skills in different locations in Woodinville. Week 5 we will decide on a location for “graduation”.
Dogs need to have gone through The Basics, CGC or Tenacious Teen at Kokoro or have instructor permission. Dogs must not be overly vocal in the presence of other dogs or people. CGC test can be done last class if requested by week 4.

Tenacious Teens

In this class we focus on focus-if you have your adolescent dog’s attention the world the world is your oyster. We will focus on how to communicate with your dog so that she WANTS to work with you. We will address many of the common issues that occur during adolescence including “selective hearing,” recall, leash walking, attention barking, jumping and a solid stay. All of these things have one thing in common-they require your dog to be focused on YOU and manage their energy. Concepts will be taught using positive reward based training.
Dogs do NOT attend the first week of class.

Sport Dog Puppy Class (starts Wednesday, 9/9/26 at 5:15 pm with Erica)

For puppies 8-24 weeks or by permission.
Sport Puppy will focus on foundation skills for dogs who will spend much of their life off leash whether it’s hunting, agility, obedience or just spending time in the woods where you need independence and handler focus! There will be brief play in class and focus on engagement games, recall, settling (unconfined) and crate training.

5/6/26-a 5 week class that meets off site after week 1. Week 5 testing! CGC is required to take the test but you may take the class if your dog does not have a CGC on file.

This class is for the Sporting Dogs. We introduce birds, gun fire (starters pistol) and beginning trainer retrieve and steadiness for all Sporting breeds and (whoa) for pointing breeds! Recall, tracking and all manner of fun! Your dog doesn’t need to hunt or trial to take this class but we can help get you ready for juvenile stakes!!! Want a better retrieve?
