Warm native finishes extend from the inside out, while floor-to-ceiling windows and dual oversized sliding doors blur the lines between spaces, extending the footprint beyond the interior, resulting in an atmosphere tailored for both entertaining and tranquility rooted in the Pacific Northwest. At the outset of every project, we begin by understanding two aspects: the potential of the project site, and the rhythms of our clients’ lives. Understanding their habits, routines, and priorities becomes an opportunity to shape the design and elevate the way they live within it and to create a truly custom home. 

At our , the homeowners sought a space connected to the Great Room that could evolve throughout the day - a library for reading, morning coffee by the adjoining pocket garden, a place for Legos or homework, or a quiet room to watch television. The challenge was balancing retreat with something equally important to this family - connection.

The result is this multifaceted library connected to the Great Room by ten-foot-tall White Oak telescoping doors. The room evolves effortlessly from enclosed and quiet to seamlessly connected, with the doors disappearing, uniting the space and the family within them. See more on our website linked in bio!

Strategically designed as an efficient and attainable barn, our echoes the elements of the PNW modern aesthetic, using practical details and materials while maintaining an elevated aesthetic. Bathed in sunlight, the skylight overhead anchors the central aisle, highlighting the weathered wood and steel finishes that define this contemporary two-stall barn. The structure floats the single-sloped roof, providing fresh air and daylight, creating a harmonious connection to the surrounding landscape, a healthy environment for the equestrian residents, all while maintaining a practical cost-conscious approach to the construction detailing. When a home is defined by its views, the entry becomes a design exercise in creating a standalone experience - a moment of pause before the reveal.

At our , a concrete path steers through lush landscaping, past a linear water feature and a wooden privacy screen, before arriving at an oversized steel pivot door. The drama continues inside, with a custom steel stair, hemlock wood ceilings, and exposed architectural steel - all oriented toward a private pocket art garden. A moment of pause and a sense of arrival, all before the Great Room presents the incredible panoramic water views.

Sitting atop a sloped site along an angled shoreline, lush landscaping defines the entry at our to reveal a water feature that opens up to expansive lakefront views beyond. The strategic orientation of the home captures both eastern light and views of Mt. Rainier, further enhancing the surrounding landscape that is complemented by warm wood siding. Integrated board formed concrete planters create a cascading terrace, linking the main floor to the waters edge at this beautiful waterfront oasis.
