Cancer Lifeline
Our Mission is to optimize the quality of life for ALL people affected by cancer.

Today is Steven R. Sawyer's first day as Executive Director of Cancer Lifeline.
We're grateful for this moment... and for the chance to keep building a place where people affected by cancer are met with care, connection, and hope. That work doesn't belong to one person. It belongs to our staff, our volunteers, our board, and this whole community.
Steven steps into this role with real respect for what's already here, and a commitment to carrying it forward alongside all of us.
If you cross paths with him in the coming weeks, we hope you'll join us in saying welcome.
Welcome, Steven. We're glad you're here. 🥰😎🥳

Feeling disconnected after treatment ends? You're not alone... and researchers at UW want to help change that.
The FLoC Study (Fred Hutch LOneliness in Cancer survivors), run through the UW Department of Family Medicine, is looking for post-treatment cancer survivors interested in being part of a study on loneliness and social connection.
Participation starts with a short screening survey. From there, eligible participants complete a few additional surveys over four months, and some will be invited into a 9-week virtual group program focused on rebuilding connection after treatment.
Participants may earn up to $125 for their time.

Because of supporters like you, no one in our community has to face cancer alone.
Mental health therapists. Support groups. Nutritionists. Retreats. Movement classes. All of it free. All of it possible because of you.
Today on GiveBIG, we're asking you to show up one more time.

Most people don't know Cancer Lifeline exists … until they need us.
That's how it works. A diagnosis arrives. The medical team takes over. And somewhere in the middle of appointments and treatment plans and fear that doesn't fit neatly into any chart, someone finds their way to us.
We're the other half of the cancer care team … the mental health therapists, support groups, nutritionists, and retreats that tend to everything medicine alone cannot reach. We've been here for over 50 years, and donor support is what makes it possible to keep our programs accessible to anyone in our community facing cancer, regardless of what they can afford.
Next week is GiveBIG … and we'll be asking for your help to keep it that way.
For now, we just wanted you to know we're here. And that because of people like you, we always have been.
