As you pass the brand-new Modera Bridle Trails, the project feels as if it’s been there for years, thanks to the thoughtful intention behind its landscape design. Using mature plantings that blend naturally with the surrounding woodlands, the lush setting creates a welcoming experience from day one while supporting biodiversity.

Another fun feature is the five animal sculptures by artist Georgia Ge**er(Georgia Ge**er) sprinkled throughout the public plazas. Inspired by the wildlife found in nearby Bridle Trails State Park, the sculptures add a playful connection to the natural character of the neighborhood.

A new mixed-use development bringing affordable homes to Issaquah is underway!

We recently celebrated the groundbreaking of Trailhead Apartments alongside community members, elected officials, and project partners. Developed by King County Housing Authority, the eight-story community will provide homes for households earning up to 40% and 60% of Issaquah’s Area Median Income (AMI). The project will feature a mix of family-sized apartments and supportive amenities, including a 10,000-square-foot Opportunity Center and co-living homes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities operated by Life Enrichment Options (LEO).

Trailhead is part of a broader mixed-income community that includes market-rate housing (developed separately). By embracing the adjacent wetland with a multimodal pedestrian path and courtyards overlooking the natural landscape, the development creates a vibrant, walkable neighborhood centered around transit access and community connection.

Big news in our Fremont community! Salesforce’s Tableau business has renewed its lease at Data 1, marking Seattle’s largest office lease renewal this year.

Completed in 2017, Data 1 is LEED Gold and Salmon-Safe certified. Phase 1 of the Aurora Bridge Swales is located along Troll Avenue outside the building and cleans more than 200,000 gallons of stormwater runoff annually. The project has also been recognized with numerous industry awards.

Thank you to Pizza By Ruffin (Pizza By Ruffin) and Umami Kushi (Umami Kushi) for catering our office luncheon in honor of Juneteenth. Our team came together to reflect on the holiday and support Black-owned businesses in our community, with some seriously good eats. Be sure to check them out!

The first Black-owned pizzeria in Washington state, Pizza By Ruffin is a Black, woman, and veteran-owned business. Owners Isaiah Ruffin and Colleen Constant serve pizza al taglio – “pizza by the cut” – specializing in toppings and flavors that reflect the Black diaspora, from Ethiopian Dorowat to Jamaican curry.

From high volume restaurants to the around-the-corner Japanese izaka-ya, Chef Harold Fields loves food and the cultures behind them. He brings 12 well-rounded cooking years to his catering company. Umami Kushi is based on traditional Japanese techniques and food preparations which he was taught but also incorporates flavors representative of the Northwest.
