Interested in creative writing, spoken word, and storytelling? Check out Nation of Poets at the Meadowbrook Teen Life Center!

Led by spoken word artist Najib Abbi, participants will learn poetic techniques, write original poems, collaborate with peers, and share their voices in a welcoming and supportive environment. This FREE program is available on Wednesdays (through August 26) from 1-3 PM, for youth ages 12-19.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the View Ridge Play Area Renovation Ribbon Cutting! We are excited to have renovated this play area along with the Ward Springs Park and Bryant Park renovations earlier this year.

All play areas offer fun for all! Come play on swings, slides, and enjoy climbing opportunities abound.

Join us tomorrow Wednesday, July 22 from 4 to 6 pm at View Ridge Playfield Play Area to celebrate the newly renovated park and play area for children. Stop by to enjoy music, popsicles, and more!

The renovation improves inclusivity, equipment safety, and provides new restrooms, and a updated play area.

Family Nature Exploration: Pond
Dive into the fascinating ecosystem of a pond! Observe the wetland ecosystem creatures while learning about the critical role ponds play in nature. Get hands-on with pond dipping to discover tiny aquatic creatures up close. Each participant under 12 years old is required to have a caregiver who participates with them throughout this activity.
