I made my first Sami-inspired tintråd bracelet! I learned the basics from a Sami elder years ago, and am glad to have put the skills to good use! Thanks to for the materials. The red is my non-traditionally colored version. The black is the one I bought (and wear daily).

I was honored to be able to share my love of nålbinding (virtually) at the Scandinavian Folk Festival in Jamestown NY! I shared a PowerPoint presentation on the history of the craft, gave a live demonstration of the Oslo stitch, and answered audience questions. Thank you to everyone who attended the seminar, and to the festival for inviting me!

Y’all! My first ever published knitting pattern is being featured on Ravelry!! Looks like I’m legit ;)

I did some knitting (and steeking!) on my trip and was thrilled to finish my heavily modified Icelandic Lopi sweater in time to wear it on beautiful Lindisfarne.

My next nalbinding class sold out in 12 hours!! Amazing! If you still want to take a class, we’ve got more coming at the National Nordic Museum in April, and I also offer private lessons.
