The beast of a shelf has finish and is complete

Here's an interesting jig made for a craft project that is not wood related.

When you make something small and it needs to be planed you have to add rails

Sanding and oiling the 2nd woven board

This one is walnut, rosewood, cherry and maple with a wenge weave

The first of the woven boards is sanded and oiled - it's too big for the oil container so I got lovely soft hands 😀

My favourite member is back in the shop
and those who know the projects she comes up with know that they are always over designed but end up beautiful.

Here's the start of something but you won't guess what it is.

You start with resawing an offcut of one of my cutting boards and then sandwich some leftover paduak and wenge

A couple of nice woven cutting boards from my favourite member 😀

These are a couple of curved top cabinets that fit in an old 1970s RV. The old ones were damaged by a water leak so I had to deconstruct them a little to work out the best way to build matching versions

If you've been in the shop this week you will have seen this beast of a shelf being made from recycled fir and lath boards. Woodshop owner included to show scale.
