Peer Seattle attended the "Run, Walk for Pride" at Seward Park in Seattle Saturday. Thank you to all the wonderful people who came to learn about Peer Seattle and ask questions about Peer Coaching, Peer Groups and all the other services we provide.

Pride Month is an opportunity to celebrate community, resilience, and the people who helped create the spaces many of us rely on today.

Peer Washington was founded by members of Washington's LGBTQ+ community, and those roots remain an important and visible part of who we are. For decades, we have worked to create welcoming spaces where people can find support, build relationships, and connect with others who understand. We're proud to celebrate Pride and grateful to be part of a community that continues to support one another through challenges and triumphs alike.

โ€ข It's people helping people.
โ€ข It's listening without judgment.
โ€ข It's knowing you're not the only person who has been through something difficult.

At Peer Washington, peer support isn't about telling someone what to do. It's about walking alongside them, helping them identify their strengths, and supporting them as they move toward their own goals. Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can offer another person is understanding.

Many people have heard the name Peer Washington. Fewer know what we actually do.

Peer Washington is an LGBTQ+-rooted organization that provides peer emotional support and development services for people impacted by addiction, mental health challenges, HIV/AIDS, and other chronic illnesses. Every day, people come through our doors looking for support, connection, resources, training, or simply a place to talk with someone who understands. That's what peer support is all about.

For more than 40 years, Peer Washington has helped people find support, build community, and move forward through life's challenges. Today, we're launching ๐‘๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐‡๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ž๐ง๐ฌ ๐“๐จ๐ ๐ž๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ, a campaign focused on the people, services, and communities that make peer support so powerful. Throughout the next several weeks, we'll be sharing stories, highlighting programs, celebrating community partnerships, and helping more people learn about the support available through Peer Washington.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief:
No one should have to face life's challenges alone.
