I-645 is being funded and pushed by some of Washington's wealthiest interests, while the consequences could fall hardest on working families and those with the least room to absorb cuts or higher costs.

On Labor Day, we remember the contributions of generations of working people who sacrificed and organized to secure the rights and protections most workers enjoy today.
Labor Day also serves as a reminder that our work is not complete, and that progress to further improve working conditions will not come easily or by accident.
Every gain for American workers in the past—safer jobs, better wages, benefits, retirement security, and a stronger voice on the job—was won because people formed unions, mobilized and demanded change.
