ANTIPODE is the kind of place that reminds us what an art gallery can be.
Founded by Saïna Hesh and Amir Amini after leaving Tehran and finding their way to Seattle, ANTiPODE creates space for immigrant artists to be encountered in the fullness and complexity of their work. Through exhibitions, performances, conversations, and gatherings, they are building what they call an “art home.” A space jointly shared with Seattle Jazz Fellowship.
We spent an afternoon with Saina and Amir talking about the cities we carry with us, their friendship behind the gallery, and the belief that art can build bridges between people and places.
On October 1, ANTiPODE presents ‘Seeker’, a solo exhibition by founder Saïna Hesh, where still life moves through drawing, collage, fabric, garment, body, and dance.

The ARK Journal Café presented by Glasswing and FRAMA at Open Form on 8/15.
Spend the afternoon with ArkJournal Volume 15 and the FRAMA Apartment installation with handmade ceramics by Natasha Alphonse Ceramics, artwork by aleph geddis, and plants and florals by Glasswing. All available in limited quantities to purchase at the event.
FRAMA Furniture will be on view throughout the installation and available to order through Glasswing.
Café specials on coffee, pastries, matcha, wine, and beer will be available throughout the day. A part of Seattle Design Festival, after party details coming soon.
