“LAST CALL!” When you shout those words as a bartender, it’s a call to action, meant to rouse your guests to get in those last drink orders of the night before we all pack it in. It’s been a real privilege to serve tropical drinks to Belltown these last ten years. We have had extreme highs and extreme lows, & while the bar never hit financially the way all business owners hope for, we are proud to have employed hardworking Seattleites for this last decade.

Why is it ending? It is not important to us to sit here & excavate the state of the world or the industry. Quite frankly the bar’s lease is up and, in the words of MacReady from John Carpenter’s The Thing, we’re all very tired.

We will have the month of September as a fun last month of our tropical menu. We debated whether or not to throw one last Nightmare on Wall Street this October, and ultimately good sense won out: expect a full-on Nightmare experience to close ‘er down, culminating with a final service on Halloween. This Nightmare has new drinks from some of our favorite films including Sinners, Suspiria, Drag Me To Hell, Re-Animator, Pearl, Mandy, The Empty Man, Rosemary’s Baby, American Psycho, and more.

In November, we will have a sale in which folks will be able to come through and purchase equipment, glassware, and tchotchkes.
We would love it if you would join us for all or some of these festivities. Frankly, we will need you to so we can settle our debts and give this damn bar the funeral it deserves.

At Navy Strength, the Mai Tai has a special place on our menu. Our take features house-made pecan orgeat, plenty of rum, and a few details we’ll keep behind the bar. 🤫

And apparently, you all agree, it’s our #1 best-selling cocktail.
