Some of the best collaborations start with friendship.

Back in December 2024, Johnny & Sarah met Paula & Nikko in New York, where both of our restaurants were being honored by Esquire as Best New Restaurants. We hit it off quickly, and what started as a night celebrating restaurants and lots of karaoke turned into a friendship we’ve been lucky enough to continue ever since.

With Chef Johnny’s family in South Carolina, we’ve had the chance to share a few meals at Kultura and absolutely love what Paula, Nikko, and their team are creating. The photo here is from one of those experiences, a little taste of the hospitality, food, and energy that make Kultura so special.

At Kultura, guests experience Chef Nikko’s familiar Filipino flavors presented in new and unexpected ways, with a menu that celebrates fresh, local ingredients and is meant to be shared family style.

We’re so excited to finally bring our kitchens together for a one-night-only collaboration.

On Wednesday, September 16, Chef Johnny joins Kultura for a five-course tasting dinner celebrating lived experience through food, memory, and story.
