June is PTSD Awareness Month. For first responders, trauma is not always tied to one single event. Sometimes it builds through repeated exposure, difficult calls, moral injury, and moments that stay with you long after the shift ends. The goal is not to “tough it out” or carry it alone. The goal is to recognize when something is affecting you, process it early, and get the right support before it starts showing up at work, at home, or in your health.
