Rainier Chapter House

What's going on at the Rainier Chapter House?!! It's historic preservation at the finest in Seattle as the Chapter House receives some love and attention, preparing for its 100th Birthday in 2025! Porter Homes has removed our charming green shutters and will return them looking like new next month. Greenlake Painting has been working hard preparing the house for head-to-toe painting. As you can see, they are being very thorough. Stay tuned for the end product!

Rainier Chapter invites our friends and neighbors to help us celebrate Arbor Day with the planting of our new Elm tree! Bring the kids! We'll have pollinator seeds to spread and garden rocks to paint. There will be light refreshments for all. We'll be celebrating the Saturday before Arbor Day.

April 22nd @ 10:30 a.m., at the Rainier Chapter House. Hope to see you there!

A trip back on time with this mid 19th century piano 🎹 that was donated by one of the members of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

If you’ve ever came to tour Rainier Chapter House or if you’ve been here to one of our events, you probably seen this covered with a velvet cloth.

You may have been able to notice the carvings on the knees and legs of the piano! Isn’t this gorgeous?

Sunny days are the best days to admire all the treasures from the Rainier Chapter House.

We have a lot of antique pieces and this 200 year old mahogany grandfather clock is gorgeous!!!

It has a scroll top and it is 98” high. The clock was donated by Mr. C.E. Belknap in honor of his late sister Addie Belknap Connelly, a Rainier Chapter member!

Such an amazing presentation by in our Memorial Room. Although he wasn’t able to be physically present he joined through all the way from Canada 🇨🇦. He delighted us with his tales from the time he prepared a traditional Thanksgiving meal just like our ancestors did the very first thanksgiving.
