“Colossus”
May 17, 2026, 2:00 PM
Shorewood High School, 17300 Fremont Ave N, Shoreline, WA 98133, USA
-
Felix Mendelssohn - The Hebrides (Overture)
Gustav Mahler - Symphony No. 1

Remember to join us May 17th for our big season finale!
With 80 players on stage, we wouldn‘t be able to fit them all at Town Hall, so we moved to Shorewood High School Performing Arts Center for this concert.

Mendelssohn’s overture ”The Hebrides“ (also known as ”Fingal‘s Cave“) beautifully captures the grandeur of the Scottish seascape. Mahler’s First Symphony, nicknamed ”Titan,“ is known for its groundbreaking orchestration. It incorporates nature sounds and evocative folk melodies, taking listeners on a dramatic journey from tranquil beginnings to a towering, majestic finale.
Come experience it with us!

In two weeks, we will have our LAST CONCERT of the 25-26 season. We will be playing the Mahler symphony with some students as well! Hope to see you there!:)
