Sask DLC Partners with Saskatchewan Polytechnic to strengthen career pathways for students 06/22/2026

I was pleased to witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre and Saskatchewan Polytechnic—an important step toward creating stronger pathways from high school to post-secondary education.

This partnership will help students across Saskatchewan, especially those in rural, remote, and Indigenous communities, transition more smoothly into post-secondary programs through dual credit opportunities, course recognition, and hands-on learning experiences at Sask Polytech campuses.

By connecting students with clear career pathways, practical skills, and employment opportunities in key sectors, this collaboration supports both student success and Saskatchewan’s workforce needs.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this partnership possible, including Education Minister Everett Hindley, Darren, and Dr. Rosia. Together, we are helping students access the education and training they need to build successful futures and contribute to our province’s continued growth and prosperity.

My thoughts and prayers are with the injured police officers from Melville, their families, colleagues and all those affected by this unfortunate incident. It serves as a stark reminder of the courage and dedication our law enforcement officers demonstrate every day as they work to protect and serve our communities.

Today we celebrate all fathers and father figures who make a lasting difference in the lives of those they love. Whether you are a dad, stepdad, grandfather, foster parent, mentor, coach, uncle, or someone who has stepped into a fatherly role, your guidance, support, and care help shape families and communities in meaningful ways.

There is something truly special about being called “Dad.” It represents trust, love, protection, encouragement, and countless moments both big and small that leave a lifelong impact. The title is earned through presence, compassion, and the commitment to showing up when it matters most.

On this Father's Day, I extend gratitude to all who nurture, teach, inspire, and lead with love. Thank you for the wisdom you share, the sacrifices you make, and the positive example you set each day.

Wishing all fathers and father figures a joyful and well-deserved Father's Day.

It was great to attend the Egnatoff Fundraising Burger Sale today. This fantastic group of volunteers is working hard to raise funds for the community playground.

I'm so proud to represent these constituents as their MLA and to see such strong support and volunteer spirit on display.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success! And, the burgers were excellent!

Saskatchewan’s economy continues to lead.

In 2025, we ranked second in Canada for per capita exports, with $43.7 billion in exports reaching more than 160 countries worldwide.

As we diversify our markets and create new opportunities for Saskatchewan products, we’re growing our economy, creating jobs and building a stronger future for our province.

Saskatchewan has what the world needs.

We understand that the federal government is continuing to consider expansion of MAID.

Let me be clear, the Government of Saskatchewan opposes the expansion of MAID to those with mental illness as the sole underlying condition.

Yesterday we had a fantastic day in the park with the residents of Brighton celebrating with ice cream. I had a chance to meet many people to hear their thoughts and concerns, and to talk about the new schools coming soon to the Brighton neighbourhood.
