Not every driveway gate needs to be motorized or packed with technology.
For these homeowners, a simple sliding gate was the perfect solution. Built with a welded steel frame and cedar facing to match the existing fence, it provides security and privacy while still being easy to open and close by hand when vehicle access is needed.
Sometimes the best solution is the simplest one—reliable, durable, and cost-effective.
Whether you’re looking for a manual gate, a motorized driveway gate, or something custom in between, we’re happy to help design the right solution for your property.
Privacy. Security. Convenience.
A custom driveway gate can completely change how your property feels.
This motorized sliding gate was designed to match the existing cedar fencing while providing secure, convenient access to the property.
Whether you need a sliding gate, single swing gate, or double swing gate, we can customize the design to fit your space. We can also incorporate pedestrian access gates, package delivery drops, and a variety of material options to match your home and fencing.

From steep slope to usable space. 👏
This West Seattle project combined a nearly vertical concrete block retaining wall with a new cedar privacy fence to completely transform this driveway area. What was once difficult to use is now functional, secure, and finished.
One of the biggest advantages of combining a retaining wall and fence is that it allows us to maximize usable yard space while creating privacy and improving the overall appearance of the property.
Every project is different, and we’re proud to help homeowners find practical solutions for Seattle’s challenging terrain.

Before stain ➡️ After stain
Fresh cedar looks beautiful on its own, but staining helps protect your investment from Seattle’s rain, sun, and seasonal moisture changes.
You can choose from transparent, semi-transparent, or solid stain depending on the look and level of coverage you want.
A quality stain can:
âś” Extend the life of your fence
âś” Slow weathering and UV damage
âś” Help reduce cracking and checking
âś” Keep your fence looking great for years to come
Comment if you want this stain color!

Gates are the most technical part of any fence project.
Unlike a fence panel, a gate is a moving structure that must continue to operate smoothly through Seattle’s wet winters, dry summers, and the natural expansion and contraction of wood. Proper gate construction requires careful planning, quality hardware, precise installation, and years of experience.
A well-built gate should open easily, latch securely, and stay functional for years to come.
Whether it’s a simple walk gate or a custom driveway entrance, trust the professionals at DH Fence Pros to build it right the first time.
A lot of Seattle fence projects are actually slope problems too.
Designing the retaining wall and fence together helped maximize usable yard space for both neighbors while creating a much cleaner finished look.
These types of grade changes are extremely common throughout Seattle, and every property usually needs a slightly different approach depending on drainage, access, and elevation.
More than just fences.

Nearly 250’ of new cedar privacy fencing — coordinated with 3 neighboring properties and built in less than 3 days 💪🌲
This is one of our most popular fence styles: the Standard Plus privacy fence, featuring a 2x4 top rail and 1x4 cedar trim cap for a clean, finished look.
Projects like this take communication, planning, and an experienced crew to keep everything moving smoothly while delivering a consistent finished product across multiple property lines.
Built by DH Fence Pros — serious about service, passionate about fences.
126 feet of custom clear cedar horizontal fencing in Ballard 🌿
This project included demo of a large hedge and installation of a new privacy fence featuring:
• 5’ solid horizontal fencing
• 1’ lattice top
• 5/4 cedar top cap
• 2 custom-sized gates
Every panel also includes cedar 2x2 backing supports — something we install on all of our horizontal fences to help prevent boards from warping and shifting over time.
Details matter. Long-term durability matters. And in Seattle yards, experience matters.
At DH Fence Pros, we build your fence like we would at our own home.

This project included our Standard Plus style cedar privacy fence, built while carefully working around existing pavers, retaining walls, mature landscaping, and tight access points throughout the property.
In Seattle, every yard is a little different — and we’re used to building fences that integrate cleanly with existing landscaping and structures without sacrificing quality or appearance.
The end result: a clean, durable fence that feels like it was always meant to be part of the space.
