gratitude post💛

so grateful that i get to work in so many fun locations, like this venue with a view of the mountains!! 🙌🏼

grateful to be part of my clients’ private events, drawing in my little corner and getting a glimpse into their world while making art for their closest people.

i’m grateful that i get to do what i love for a living. growing up, i felt like drawing was an impractical thing to be good at - but now, i have no complaints about working hard to make things cute, and i take very seriously the business of using creativity to bring joy.

finally, i’m grateful to everyone who entrusts me with drawing them, their fur babies, and their loved ones. i truly believe everyone is beautifully unique and worthy of being captured as art just the way they are, and i take on each portrait with that mindset. i know i don’t always get it quite right, but i’m *always* striving to do better, improve my work, and to portray folks in a way that makes them feel seen (in as few minutes as possible).

i’m also aware that live portraits are a fun thing and it really doesn’t have to be that deep, but that’s where my brain likes to go😂

tried a new thing for my table at Chophouse Row for the cap hill art walk this past thursday and…😍😍😍 obsessed with all the doodles!!
