Haring Center for Inclusive Education
The Haring Center improves the lives of children with developmental disabilities and their families with research and training that drive education policy.
The Haring Center is the leader in inclusive education. Within the Haring Center, the Experimental Education Unit (EEU) serves children with and without disabilities. The EEU is a living laboratory for the Research team, which has a 50-year history at the forefront in research about how children with developmental disabilities learn. The Professional Development & Training team moves research from the research unit into practice at schools and childcare centers throughout Seattle, Washington and the United States. Whether it begins with a toddler at the EEU, a researcher testing a new understanding of how children with autism learn or a trainer coaching current teachers, the Haring Center is improving the lives of children and their families.
