SOUL PURPOSE is a seven-piece musical group offering a distinctive take on NOLA Funk, Soul and Swing.
Voted "Best Band" by the readers of Hudson Valley Magazine, Soul Purpose is a seven-piece band that serves up a tasty blend of Smooth Soul, New Orleans Funk, Swing Jazz, R&B and Motown with a few original works sprinkled on top. Soul Purpose has been entertaining fans with their “soulful sounds, brazen horn section and warm vocals”, (Kingston After Dark). Throughout their nearly twenty-year history, the band has played at venues which include clubs, private affairs of all types, intimate concerts to larger festival stages and benefits. Soul Purpose has opened for such prominent artists as Grammy Award Nominee and Blues Music Award Nominee, Shemekia Copeland and the Chris O’Leary Band at the renowned Hudson Valley music landmark, Towne Crier Cafe and Slam Allen at The Falcon. Soul Purpose has also headlined at the famed Daryl’s House Club in Pawling, New York and at the Falcon's Underground stage.

TONIGHT’S CHADWICK LAKE CONCERT IS CANCELED
Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn’t cooperating, and our Soul Purpose concert at Chadwick Lake tonight has been canceled due to the impending rain.
We’re disappointed we won’t get to close out the summer with you at the lake, but we’re already looking ahead and hope to be back on the 2027 concert lineup!
In the meantime, our next public show is Sunday, September 6 at . Come on out, grab some food and drinks, and get your groove on with us!
