K2/K3

Today we visited the Sader Café. Mrs. Roberts gave us a behind the scenes tour. The children were able to watch a student make coffee and see the students actively working as they were baking. They were able to purchase a snack, and eat in the cafe. This was an exciting “on campus” field trip for us today.

Today during center time we pretended to be baristas in our little coffee shop as we celebrate career week.

This week we are learning about different careers and how they help our community. We played “office” workers, construction workers, and grocery store employees.

Fall counting activity with candy pumpkins.

Happy Friday- here is our group photo from Spirit week.

Cowboy Day in the ELC - Thank you to the Carlton family for bringing your horse(Sister) for our boys and girls. They enjoyed getting to pet the horse, seeing how the horse follows directions from Cowboy Dennis, and trying to lasso. Cowgirl SaraBeth also read a special story to all the classes.

Today we had a visit from some local nursing students to teach us about good handwashing practices. This went along perfectly with our letter of the week, letter Hh.

Cade filled the letterbox with things that begin with the letter Hh.

Letter Hh- we are learning the letter H this week. So many learning experiences go into our fun class activities, we learned how you have to rinse/wet your paint brush when using watercolor paints to keep the colors separate, and not make the colors messy. We learned to roll playdoh into a ball and then pound it flat with our toy hammers. We are learning our letters, and developing our fine motor skills, and that’s just a small glimpse into our day.

Ryder filled the letterbox with things that begin with the letter Ii.
