Rooted Learning Academy

📸 This week’s Friday Field Trip photo series is titled… “Selfies with Robert!” 🐦💙

There was so much to see, learn, and admire during our visit to the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary!

We loved getting to know the rescued birds by name, reading their unique stories, and learning about the incredible work being done to give these beautiful creatures a second chance. It was especially inspiring to see the dedicated volunteers so thoughtfully caring for both the birds and their surroundings.

And of course, lunch with a view from the Osprey Lookout was a highlight! 🌊☀️

We feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful community resource right in our backyard! Experiences like these remind us how meaningful it is for children to connect with nature, develop compassion for living things, and discover the importance of giving back to their community. 🌿

A HUGE thank you to our amazing Rooted Learning Academy families for coming together to collect and donate TWO massive bags of much-needed supplies! The sanctuary’s hospital staff was incredibly appreciative, and we were so proud to contribute to the important work they do every day. 💚

Learning, exploring, and giving back—this is what our Friday Field Adventures are all about! 🌎✨

Finding new hobbies is what it’s all about!!

Energy is all around us, as well as within us. 💓

Our neighbor and friend Michelle was eager and gracious to enhance our learning of sound energy! She shared many new instruments we have never played before while we deepened our understanding of the new concepts we’ve been learning. We are grateful to have such authentic, knowledgeable and kind-hearted connections in our community.

Just like sound waves, we also have the power to transfer our own God-given energy and love to those around us! 💫

These kids are the absolute best to work with!! Especially when we try to create unconventional models of our learning- like today’s sound wave! 🔊 👋

We’re thinking outside of the box and having a total blast along the way 💥 I’m here for it 👏🏼👏🏼

Our inspired learners asked to explore watercolor basics this morning. 🎨 💜 Coco Bee has crafted a beautiful channel on YouTube that totally sets the vibe for some calm and colorful creativity 🙏🥰
