Java Moon
Located in the heart of downtown Sheridan we offer high quality coffee, espresso and tea. We also offer breakfast, lunch, and a full bakery.
There’s something about fall that makes me want to slow everything down a little.
A cold morning. A favorite coffee. A few extra minutes before the day really gets going.
That’s what I love about this season at Java Moon Downtown. You can feel the shift in the shop — the drinks change, the bakery case starts looking more like fall, and somehow a cup of coffee feels a little more like a ritual again.
What I love most is seeing people come through the door, meet up with friends, sit for a while, and be part of the rhythm of downtown. That sense of community is such a big part of Java Moon — and somehow fall makes you notice it even more.
A coffee run never looked so good.
There’s just something about that first coffee of the day.
Maybe it’s watching the espresso pour. Maybe it’s the first sip. Maybe it’s walking into a place where you already know what you’re ordering — or pulling through the drive-thru because you have exactly three minutes to spare.
Whatever your coffee routine looks like, we love getting to be a little part of it.
Megan and I would love to personally invite you to come visit us at both Java Moon locations.
Our downtown Java Moon location is right in the heart of Sheridan — the original spot so many of you already know and love.
Then we have Java Moon Station on Coffeen Avenue, where you can come inside or make it easy and grab your coffee through the drive-thru.
Two different locations, two different ways to do your coffee run, and we’d love to see you at both.
Come grab a coffee with us.
Some Saturdays in Sheridan just feel full before the day even really gets started.
This is one of them.
Born in a Barn is happening. The Mane Event has riders out on the roads. Mountain West Book Fest is at Whitney Commons. People are heading downtown, meeting friends, taking kids places, shopping, riding, running, reading, and trying to fit just a little more into the day.
And I love weekends like this.
There’s something really fun about watching Sheridan get out and do things.
Of course, somewhere in the middle of all of that, there’s usually a stop for coffee.
Maybe it’s before you head out for the morning. Maybe you need breakfast because you left the house a little too fast. Maybe you’re meeting somebody downtown. Or maybe you just need twenty quiet minutes, something warm to eat, and a cup of coffee before you head back out again.
That’s the part we get to be here for.
The espresso is going. The bakery case is full. Breakfast and lunch are ready. And our crew is here doing what they do on a busy Saturday morning.
Whatever your Saturday has you doing today, I hope you get out and enjoy Sheridan a little.
And if Java Moon happens to be one of your stops along the way, we’ll be here.
Some weekends just make you want to create something for them.
Born in a Barn has that kind of feel.
It’s one of those very Sheridan weekends that gets people out, brings people together, and feels a little different than an ordinary Friday and Saturday.
So when our baristas started talking about this week’s special, they wanted something that actually fit the weekend instead of just picking another flavor combination.
One of the things I love about our weekly specials is that our baristas get to play around a little. They’re the ones behind the bar every day. They know what people order, what flavors work together, and what sounds fun enough to make you want to try something different.
This week, they wanted something warm, a little sweet, a little western — and still coffee first.
That’s how the Cowboy Campfire came together: maple, toasted marshmallow and mocha.
They came up with it for this weekend, and honestly, it just fits.
Apparently this is one way to try the daily special.
I asked the baristas to make some content and this is what they came up with.
Honestly, I don’t have much more to add.
Except that this week’s special is the Cowboy Campfire — a maple toasted marshmallow mocha we made for Born in a Barn week.
Preferably served in a cup.
We may have gone a little overboard on the dessert table… but W**e Fest seemed like a pretty good reason to do it.
This is one of those events we look forward to because we get to do something a little different from our everyday life at Java Moon. We filled the table with some of our favorite desserts, got out from behind the coffee counter for the evening, and had the chance to visit with so many familiar faces.
And judging by that last picture, Megan and Analise had a pretty good time too.
A big thank you to for putting together another wonderful W**e Fest and for creating events that bring people downtown and give local businesses a chance to be part of the fun.
And thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, tried something sweet, said hello, and made the night such a good one.
Such a fun evening in downtown Sheridan.

Sheridan has a pretty fun weekend coming up… and we decided our weekly special needed to dress for the occasion.
Born in a Barn is happening this Friday + Saturday, so meet the Cowboy Campfire — our maple toasted marshmallow mocha.
A little maple, toasted marshmallow and chocolate all pulled together with espresso. Basically, if fall in Wyoming had a coffee order, this might be it.
Born in a Barn has become one of those weekends people look forward to around here, and we thought it would be fun to create something just for the week.
The Cowboy Campfire is available now at Java Moon + Java Moon Station — so you don’t have to wait until Friday to try it.
And if you’re headed out to Born in a Barn this weekend, grab one on your way. Born in a Barn

Sometimes you have to see your own place through someone else’s eyes.
We spend so much time moving through Java Moon — making coffee, baking, cleaning, talking with customers, keeping up with the rush — that it’s easy to stop noticing the little things.
Then I look through photos people have taken here, and I notice them again.
The old brick. The patio. The light coming through the windows. A coffee on the table. Someone sitting in a corner having a conversation.
All the pieces that make Java Moon feel like Java Moon.
Thank you for taking these pictures and reminding us to notice the place we get to be part of every day.
We’ve got a pretty good thing going on here in downtown Sheridan.

The SHS volleyball team stopped by this morning for breakfast and drinks before their game. We were so excited to see them. Good luck today. Go Broncs!!!!
