We’re hiring! 😁 CHEER is seeking engaging and innovative teachers for Camp Piney Branch, our community-based summer enrichment program in Long Branch☀️🧑‍🏫

If you are passionate about youth development, community building, and creating joyful summer experiences for children, we want to hear from you!

Camp & Schedule Details

🗓️Dates: July 27th – August 14th, 2026 (3-week camp program)
⏰Hours: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Campers attend 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
📍Location: Clifton Park Baptist Church (Long Branch area of Silver Spring)
Target Audience: Rising 1st through rising 6th-grade students
💰Compensation: $3,000 stipend for the full commitment

🏡 Midyear Check-in: LBHAT is Working to Build a Stronger Long Branch!

The Long Branch Housing Action Team (LBHAT) recently gathered for our Midyear Evaluation Meeting to review the progress we’ve made on key housing and community goals we set back in December 2025.

Our members shared updates on some incredible initiatives, including:

✅Tenant Support: Expanding outreach and collaborating closely with the Renters Alliance.

✅Advocacy: Pushing for critical tenant protections like Just Cause Eviction.

✅Community Collaboration: Working alongside the Community Ambassador Team (CAT), Purple Line Preservation Network, and the University of Maryland studio class.

✅Strategy: Assessing fundraising, strengthening partnerships, legal rights education initiatives, and reviewing the ENOUGH housing action plan.

LBHAT is more committed than ever to advancing housing stability, protecting tenant rights, and expanding affordable housing opportunities right here in Long Branch! 💪
